Terms, privacy & risk

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and OneSync ("Predict", "we", "us"), operator of the prediction-market interface at www.predict.music. By creating an account, connecting a wallet, or placing a trade, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Risk Disclosure below. If you do not agree, do not use Predict.

Predict is a software interface. It lets you view and place orders on prediction markets about music and culture that settle on a third-party, non-custodial exchange. Predict is not a bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, or money-services business, and it does not hold your funds.

• You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher).
• You have the legal capacity to enter this agreement and are acting for yourself, not on behalf of an undisclosed third party.
• You are not on any sanctions list and are not accessing Predict to launder proceeds or finance illegal activity.
• You are responsible for knowing whether prediction-market trading is lawful where you are, and for any taxes you owe on gains.

We may ask you to verify your identity or age before certain actions and may suspend access if we reasonably believe an account breaches these Terms or applicable law.

• You are solely responsible for securing access to your wallet and email. Losing that access can mean permanently losing your funds.
• Deposits and withdrawals are on-chain transactions you authorize. They are irreversible once confirmed.
• Because we do not hold funds, Predict cannot reverse a transfer, recover a mistaken send, or issue a chargeback.

Predict charges a platform fee of 2% on the amount you stake. The fee is shown in the order ticket before you confirm, and the payout you see is already net of it — there are no surprise charges after the fact.

Separately, the underlying blockchain may charge a small network fee to settle a transaction, and the exchange your order routes to may apply its own market mechanics. Predict does not control or receive those amounts.

You agree not to:

• Use Predict where it would be unlawful, or to evade sanctions or restrictions that apply to you.
• Manipulate a market, trade on the basis of the confidential non-public information of a resolution source, or coordinate to move a price deceptively.
• Trade a market whose outcome you can improperly influence.
• Access the service through bots, scrapers, or automated means that degrade it, or attempt to breach its security.
• Infringe our or anyone else's intellectual property, or impersonate another person.

Each market poses a yes/no or multiple-choice question with a stated resolution source and close time. When a market closes, it resolves to the real-world outcome as reported by that source, and winning positions become redeemable on-chain.

• Market questions and metadata are provided for information. We aim for accuracy but do not warrant that every description, image, or timestamp is error-free.
• Resolution is performed on the exchange where the market settles, according to its published rules — not by Predict's editorial judgment.
• Some questions can be ambiguous or delayed by real-world events. Resolution timing is not guaranteed.

The Predict name, the OneSync marks, the interface design, and its original copy are owned by OneSync and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the interface. Artist names, images, and event titles remain the property of their respective owners and appear for identification and commentary only.

Predict is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, that market data is real-time or error-free, or that any market will resolve on a particular schedule.

Nothing on Predict is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OneSync is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, for lost profits, or for losses arising from your trading decisions, wallet security, blockchain conditions, or third-party services.

What we collect. The email you sign in with (handled by our login provider, Magic); your public wallet address and the on-chain activity tied to it; an approximate region derived from your IP; and basic device/usage data to keep the service secure and working. Your display name and avatar are stored on your own device, not on our servers.

Why. To authenticate you, show your positions and history, meet legal and anti-fraud obligations, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share with. Only the service providers needed to run Predict — our login provider, the exchange that settles trades, infrastructure and analytics vendors — and authorities where the law requires it. On-chain activity is inherently public by design of the blockchain.

Your choices. You can request access to or deletion of the personal data we hold by emailing info@onesync.music. Note that we cannot alter or delete data recorded on a public blockchain.

• Total loss. If a market resolves against your position, that position is worth zero. There is no principal protection and no insurance — funds are not FDIC- or SIPC-covered.
• Volatility. Prices move quickly as the world changes. The odds you see can be very different a moment later.
• Liquidity. You may not be able to exit a position at the price you want, or at all, before a market closes.
• On-chain risk. Your funds depend on the security of your wallet, the blockchain, and the settlement contracts. Smart-contract bugs, key loss, and network congestion are real risks.
• Resolution risk. A market can resolve in a way you did not expect, or be delayed, if the real-world outcome or its source is contested.
• Regulatory risk. The rules for prediction markets differ by place and can change. Availability of a market or feature may change with them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, contact us at info@onesync.music so we can try to resolve it directly. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration; you and OneSync each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms as the product and the law evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, flagged in the app. Continuing to use Predict after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
